The first ever ‘virtual pilgrimage’ to the shrine of Our Lady of Penrhys
Saturday, 30th May 2020 saw the first ever (I think!) virtual pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady. As the virtual pilgrimage took place on the eve of the Solemnity of Pentecost, it was an opportunity to take time out, in silence and peace and so contemplate anew the mysteries of Our Blessed Lord’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Fr. Daniel had reflected during the day:
To Jesus, through Mary. For us then, who seek and strive to imitate Our Blessed Lady, who seek and strive to imitate profoundly her ‘fiat’, her ‘yes’ to the will of God, this is an action of love. And, for generations and generations, shrines such as the shrine of Penrhys are but expressions of this love and devotion which we have; love for Our Lady, and certainly a love for Our Lord.
The videos of the pilgrimages are available to watch again, and the meditation is available to listen to on SoundCloud.
